Listen here: Hugh Richard Williams
Hugh Williams is a practicing attorney and author of zombie fiction and detective thrillers.
His first novel, The Trek to Elysium Chronicles: Volume 1: A Zombie Apocalyptic Tale, was published in 2015. He completed the second book of the series “The Trek to Elysium Chronicles: Survival Guide” early in 2016. He is currently working on the final book of the series, “The Trek to Elysium Chronicles: Volume 3: End Game” and expects that to be finished mid 2018. Williams also rewrote his first book and now a 2nd edition of the first book is available for all. His newest book, “The Incident” represents a departure of sorts from the straight Zombie genre. It is a crossover Zombie/Thriller book. His first detective thriller, “The Rixey Files: The Quest for Caesar’s Medallion” is scheduled to be released April1, 2018.
Williams graduated cum laude from Illinois State University with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law.
An avid coin collector and Diamond Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League, his writing has been influenced by the movies of George Romero, the Resident Evil series, and zombie fiction by Bobby Adair, T.W. Piperbrook, JL Bourne, Harry Harrison, and Dashiell Hammett.

The Rixey Files: The Quest for Ceasar’s Medallion
Miller is given the chance to run a very exclusive detective agency. The name of the agency is The Bishop Agency. It’s named after Miller’s employer and mentor. Miller will go anywhere in the world to recover rare items for his client. To the casual observer, The Bishop Agency looks like any other small-town detective agency. The difference is that The Agency as it’s referred to has “special clients” who employ The Agency when government law enforcement is unable or unwilling to help the clients recover their property.

The Trek to Elysium Chronicles: Volume 1: A Zombie Apocalyptic Tale

Imagine what you would do if The Zombie Apocalypse, a long time favorite topic of authors in the Zombie genre, finally happened? Would you be prepared at all and have a chance to survive or would you be unprepared and quickly die or become a Zombie? This book is the first of three that I plan to write for this series. It tracks the travels of myself and 3 friends as we attempt to escape the Zombie apocalypse. Our journey begins in Southern Illinois, in a town named Carbondale. We travel across the country attempting to reach Elysium, which one of the larger safe havens in the United States. Along the way we meet new friends and attempt to dispose of new enemies. The Zombie Apocalypse happened for five reasons. 1) The Nova Virus could not be controlled where it first occurred. 2) The President encouraged the infected to come to the United States for to be treated. 3) Panic ensued when word of the disease was spreading to the general American population, 4) The company charged with finding the cure/vaccine shipped contaminated serums. 5) The massive program by the government and the media encouraged people to get vaccinated against the disease. They did not realize the side-effects. |
