- Tell us about yourself:
Generally, I never planned to be an author as throughout my life I have not traditionally been an avid reader. Having numerous significant tragic losses and being a lifelong abuse survivor since the beginning of my early childhood has certainly given me such harsh realistic experiences that have led me towards a writing ambition, I never thought I would ever possess or desire. It truly began one day shortly after my belated second husband and I received devastating news that he was dying from a very rare blood disease. I sought leisurely simply writings that progressed almost instantly into an acute positive therapeutic escape. Throughout my daily days of being an exclusive caregiver for my dying husband I was astonished that I found a sacred promising light of opportunity through my progressive pursuits of considering novels to finally address my deeply hidden dreads of a lifetime of all my abusive occurrences. Developing a pure voice occurred easily as my yearning soul felt finally comfortable and confident to lease all my hidden secrets. I have never publicly pronounced any of my terrors only privately dealt with them myself. I earnestly want my new long-term goal to become hopefully one of the most successful humanitarian authors bearing my honorable missions of possible salvations for all victims like myself. Every storyline I have written offers a realistic raw essence pertaining towards the many lives I have lived filled abundantly with dramatic losses, financial despairs, multiple abuses, and sincere loving priceless moments as well. My honorable missions for all my novels are to bring boldly any of these abusive evils to light respectively educating all of humanity in hopes to successfully extract some of the revulsions into possible elimination.
2. Who is your favorite author and book?
I had the personal pleasure of meeting exclusively the world-famous bestselling author Danielle Steele several years ago. Originally, I had decided to email her obtaining the information on the back cover of one of her novels. I explained about my true story of my dying husband and how it produced a new world of therapy my beginning pursuits of writing as it already brought to me personally a tentative peace I desperately sought. To my complete shock she personally replied using her private email to connect with me. Ever since that sacred connection she has been such a compassionate and helpful ally as I heavily struggled with my budding literary dream. Last year I reached out to her very personally this time as my heart broke as I lost my dear son to a horrifying drug overdose. She gave me such heartfelt compassion understanding my agonizing dismay completely as she had lost her son years ago to suicide. Her pure sympathetic heart and significant astute literary talents make her forever my profound mentor. Her novel ‘Malice’ touched my soul the deepest as ironically, I had already composed my ‘Intimate Voyages” prior to reading her novel as both writings deal with one of the gravest evils of abuse incest and rape. As a lifelong abuse survivor, it triggered my heart even more to greatly reach out to her on numerous occasions. Forever I am truly grateful in my heart to meet this unique wonderful human being.
3. What is your preferred genre?
Generally, my novels are classified as Women’s fiction yet, I also marvel in their subtitles as well. For example, my first published novel my ‘Intimate Voyages’ is Women’s fiction, but its subtitle is certainly ‘Historical Fiction’ as its backdrop contains the legendary passenger liner the Titanic.
4. What have you written so far?
I have written a total so far of seventeen novels. My first was published last year by Lisa Ann Martin (PhD) my publisher (Martin-Mclean Literary LLC Associates) through (On the Write Path Publishing) Debut was August 2018. My ambitions are to publish the other remaining novels probably producing at least two every year.
5. Tell us about your current published novel.

My ‘Intimate Voyages’ begins its storyline with a very wealthy young socialite traveling home on the maiden voyage of the world-famous ocean passenger liner Titanic. Her name is Sofia Anne Rothman youngest daughter of the Rothman family known worldwide as one of the wealthiest family as all their astute assets are worth heavily in the multimillions of dollars. This kindhearted female has had a complete emotional breakdown at the tender age of fourteen from all the gruesome abuses she has suffered since a very young child. One ghastly night Sofia was swept away secretly to England’s well-known elite private hospital and lavish schooling designed exclusively for young girls of extraordinary wealth worldwide. All society of her time views her as a very affluent princess having all the wonders of the world at her divine graces. Inside deeply buried in her soul she lives a life of revulsions as her demented elder brother controls her entire existence insisting that they must be lovers as many European royals had been for centuries. His frightening mindset truly believes that Sofia’s birth was the ultimate gift for him exclusively from God. Sofia desperately tries to hold on to her yearning heart as its still surprisingly pure with honorable dreams of being courted by a righteous loving man not trapped in the permanent evils of her brother’s sickening obsession for her. During this voyage Sofia is extremely hopeful that a new life possibly awaits her since Edward is finally getting married and perhaps her life can lastly begin on a normal path, where she can finally seek her own founded marriable bliss making the dreadful past a forgotten nightmare.
6. What is the inspiration of your current (published) book?
It was such an awakening for me as a lifelong abuse survivor as I never went public with the horrors that began as a very young child and continued as an adult. After many years have passed, I’m finally feeling a sense of closure and developing brave ambitions to honorably help numerous victims with my all my writings.
7. Who was your favorite character to write and why?
Sofia Anne Rothman the main female character is indeed my favorite. Each of my seventeen novels that I have already composed I completely transform myself into each main female character. Its so easy to write entirely about them as my transformation is filled with endless life experiences to share. 5
8. What sets your book apart?
Its entirely a unique storyline told in first person with the dramatic backdrop including the most famous passenger liner the Titanic. This novel is truly set apart from any other historical fictional tale of Titanic as it sets sail to save a lifelong abuse victim who has suffered one of the most horrific and ancient long sins of humanity involving incest and rape. In that extremely repressive era of the very early 1900’s a woman even a wealthy socialite has no defined power and must obey their male masters regardless of class rankings. My mission with this body of work is to bring out these revulsions and try to exonerate these evils that have existed in every generation of humanity.
9. What’s your favorite part in the book?
Chapter 3
page 30-31 (beginning at the first paragraph)
Summary
The chapter takes place with Sofia trying to relax in Titanic’s salted pool. She prays devotedly towards the Lord to rescue her from her demented abusive brother Edward. That foreboding evening of April tenth he is arriving with his fiancé Susan from Titanic’s second port of call. Sofia knows her complete imprisonment can truly be her reality again even though she remains hopeful that her brother’s coming marriage perhaps can set her finally free. She soaks in the warm soothing waters hoping earnestly that the salt agents will purify her being as she has never successfully been able to be cleansed from the severe sexual abuse that was forced upon her starting at the tender age of five 6
years. Her heart is still honorably willing to patiently await God’s possible salvation from her atrocious abusive life with Edward. She even ponders suicide again, but her faith stops her potential considerations just like the other times in her past. She understands she must face her brother’s return and will hold on to her dreams no matter what her future entails. Amazingly she’s a young simple girl who despises her golden cage of enormous wealth as all she ever wants is a normal life with an honorable husband.
10. What is the most difficult part to write?
The scene detailing any sexual situation as they were necessary to show the complex relationship she has with her brother since birth. Since her fifth birthday he has totally taken over as a doting parent as sadly her parents are hardly ever home as they worship their accumulating wealth traveling around the world for significant business ventures, pristine social events, and lavish vacations. When they are rarely home, they constantly spoil their children with excessive expensive gifts as their offspring are indeed granted anything they could ever desire for a lifetime. The intimate scenes are certainly never detailed for the purpose of exposing any erotic content but to reaffirm that Sofia is discovering her sexuality but it’s so immoral and horrifying for her sibling to be her forced mate. This sweet yearning female needed the honorable care of her parents but tragically they were majorly absent from her daily life. For Edward to mix in an unacceptable sexual relationship shows how wickedly ill he is. His obsessive desires for his sister are intensive towards a state of severe insanity and acute malice.
11. What was your favorite book to write?
My ‘Intimate Voyages’ is my first published novel and perhaps will always be my favorite for many reasons. Generally, its gravely because of its backdrop involving the legendary passenger liner Titanic as I have been a passionate fan since my very early years of my life. My great belated grandfather was born in London England increasing my feelings of deep affections regarding a sincere connection with its ship’s registry.
12. Regarding your writing, do you have a set time or place? How many hours a day?
I try to regularly write but its difficult as I have serious physical health issues, chronic pain sites, and conditions. I constantly have my novels vividly replaying like a movie in my mindset hoping one day that they could be produced into the cinema or a Broadway play. I devote at least two hours a day on my social media accounts and novel blogs being an PR agent to the best of my previous job experiences in that exciting field. I endlessly enjoy meeting numerous authors and helpful groups to further enhance my literary experiences.
13. Why did you want to become a writer?
I never wanted to become a writer it was certainly an unplanned venture entirely. One day it just happened as I was completely taking care of my terminally ill belated second husband. Mild breaks during the day of care I just started writing at first short stories pertaining to my sons in their very earliest of years. My Aunt suggested another option of consideration to venture into composing novels as they are potentially more profitable and a massive honorable accomplishment. At first it was certainly an overwhelming task as its general requirements is presenting a manuscript consisting of at least in the range of eighty thousand words. I found the journey challenging as my many lives and horrific abuses beginning from childhood finally could have a public voice to speak out. In my writer heart’s convictions, I pray that I can evolve into a very successful humanitarian author dedicated towards helping numerous victims throughout all my novels.
14. How do you get your ideas?
All my materials are factually based directly from all the numerous lives I have already lived. Sadly, since the very early years of my childhood I was sexually, physically, emotionally, and mentally abused. Each incident as it continued into my adult life, I never officially sought law enforcement or any legal pursuits. I pray continuously that I touch nobly as many injured souls as I can through my writings.
15. What do you have planned next?
I am completely challenged as I have sixteen manuscripts, I have written the past ten years. I am excitably already revising them in hopes I can publish at least two novels per year.
16. What advice would you give new writers?
The most important element I feel is to truly be yourself feeling free to express your individual self-filled with profound convictions, pure creativity, and endless imagination. Each writer should understand how vastly the literary industry has changed. The competition is beyond fierce due especially since self-publishing is everyone’s viable option. It certainly was overwhelming for me at first but beautifully developed into an enriching personal accomplishment. I have a profound mission to engage in as it has certainly helped me heal better from my own past horrors.
